Greg and Christine and their families will be in Manual Antonio Monday 3/10 – Monday 3/17.

We are eager to try some of the amazing activities Costa Rica has to offer! We’d love if you joined us for some or all of them.

This page includes “group activities” that Christine and Greg will be going on and all wedding guests are invited to partake in! The tours below have been well researched and vetted by Christine and Greg. This page (vs this one) has the most up-to-date and accurate information. If you definitely want to reserve a spot on one of these tours, please contact Latitudes who will be coordinating the tours.

Additionally, you are welcome to do other Tours and Activities on your own schedule. No pressure, pura vida! We suggest you coordinate them with Latitudes unless you want to venture on your own by finding another tour group on TripAdvisor.

ATV Rainforest Tour – Wednesday, March 12, 2014  11AM – 2:30PM
Cost: $99 for single, $129 for double

Experience the most unforgettable ATV tour in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area, located just minutes north of the Manuel Antonio National Park biological corridor. After hearing safety & security instructions, drive your own fully equipped ATV into the rugged mountains, where your professional bilingual guides lead you through rustic tropical settings. Drive from San Antonio de Damas to see waterfalls and natural springs located in the unique rain forest ecosystem. During the tour pass by four different types of plantations: teak, rice, papaya and African palm. Your guide will point out interesting facts concerning the environment.

You’ll also pass through several traditional Costa Rican towns; this gives you the chance to see a different more rustic side of Costa Rica. About halfway through your journey, leave your ATVs on the trail for a short nature hike through the primary rain forest. With a little bit of luck on our adventure tour we will see: Titi Monkeys, Toucans, Sloths, various types of tropical birds. Then reward yourself by indulging in a breathtaking waterfall, where you can swim in refreshing, crystalline waters.

Duration: 4 hours approx.

What to Bring: Comfortable clothing (that you don’t mind getting a little dirty), bathing suit and towel, sneakers, insect repellent, sun block and camera

 Wednesday ATV Tour

Catamaran Tour – Thursday, March 13, 2014 2PM – 7PM
Cost: $74 per person

 You will travel approximately 20 minutes to the Quepos dock and you will board the catamaran. Cruise through the aquamarine waters toward the spectacular and scenic coastline of Manuel Antonio Park! You will set sail towards the horizon and cruise over sapphire hued waves. The catamaran will chart a picturesque course departing from Quepos gliding around the back of Manuel Antonio national park. You will be able to observe notable wildlife and vegetation specimens, so be sure to have your camera ready. You will pass by panoramas adorned with islands, cliffs and rock formations while admiring aviary nesting grounds and marine wildlife. Our experienced captain will pilot the boat while our friendly, bilingual guides offer you a wide array of beverages, including fresh fruit drinks, bottled water, sodas, beer and tropical cocktails. Additional beverages are available for cash purchase.

After touring the coastline, your captain will set anchor in protected Biesanz Bay where you can take advantage of the pit stop to snorkel where you can spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish and if you are lucky a dolphin! Water visibility varies depending on the season.

PLUS, there’s an awesome WATER SLIDE on board!!!

Ziplining Canopy Tour – Friday, March 14, 2014 10:30AM – 2:30PM

You do NOT want to miss this! You’re in the Costa Rican rainforest, after all!

This canopy route consists of 12 cables and 16 platforms, 4 of which are built on the ground, whereas the remaining 12 hang 90ft over the verdant tree canopy.

As you zip from platform to platform and soar over the leafy treetops, you will be amazed by the new perspective of nature’s wonders while your guide will point out and explain about some species from primary and secondary forest.

Important: Maximum weight allowed for a participants is 275lb
